Ten years after Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori sealed off the breach, the people of Earth have, for the most part, picked up the broken pieces of their lives and rebuilt. Some parts of the Pacific Rim cities remain under strict no-entry orders due to dangers relating to radiation poisoning.
Life on Earth goes on as Normal.

War is looming on the horizon, as countries band together in hate or defense of Israel. A small nation called Halcyon is the main perpetrator of the anti-semitism, and several months ago pulled out of the United Nations. This was the first spark in a forest fire, and soon the world became clearly divided.
Now, with the revelation that Halcyon is building Jaegers for war, the opposing side (consisting of the US, Australia, and Israel), realize that there is no hope left for peace. The conflict is escalating fast- and some already call it the "War of the Jaeger".
